ABOUT US

Borena Energy Solutions is a 100% Black Woman Owned Renewable Energy Solutions Company that develops renewable energy projects; in particular, Solar Photovoltaic (PV) projects. The company has a Level 3 Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment status.

Borena was established in 2007 and was involved in the development of various projects including a 15MW Solar PV Energy plant in Magaliesburg, Gauteng Province under the Department of Energy Independent Power Producers Programme (IPP) and a 1Mw Solar PV Energy plant in Germiston, Gauteng Province under the Small Independent Power Producer Programme.

Borena is based in Johannesburg, Gauteng Province and operates throughout the entire South Africa.

The Objective

Borena is interested in developing cleaner energy resources and achieving cost-effective energy efficiencies by creating and leading the implementation of energy strategies to assure reliable supplies and improve relative cost.

We envision ourselves to be acknowledged as a leading Renewable Energy Provider in Africa and our mission is to provide locally relevant and technologically advanced renewable energy solutions that are reliable, efficient and cost effective.
